| This Mino ware matcha bowl is a product produced in the Tono region of Gifu Prefecture, which has a history of approximately 1,300 years. Mino ware, with its wide variety of styles and rich expressiveness, has supported Japanese dining culture and has a special presence in the world of the tea ceremony. The world of tea ceramics was born from the popularity of the tea ceremony by Sen no Rikyu and warlord Furuta Oribe during the Momoyama period (1573-1600) under Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Shino*Oribe*Setoguro and other ceramics with rich flavor were produced and used. The tea ceremony utensils were created by the tea ceremony master Furuta Oribe and other tea ceremony masters.
