After dyeing, the tannery's original solid oil wax, which is a blend of several Italian chemicals, is repeatedly kneaded by hand in two coats using a sponge by our craftsmen. After the leather has been laid down sufficiently, the craftsman finally melts the oil wax on the surface of each piece of leather with a hand iron, and allows it to penetrate into the leather fibers. The oil wax is soaked into the cross-section and fibers of the leather, so you can enjoy the pooling up of the folded part, which lightly whitens the folded part, and creates a three-dimensional expression. 【革について】TATSUNOオイルワックス
兵庫県たつの市のタンナーにて仕立てられた革です。植物タンニン鞣しの成牛革をベースに、革を染める工程の際に染料とたっぷりのオイルを一緒に入れ、革の繊維にオイルをしっかりと染み込ませています。染色後にイタリアの薬品をいくつかブレンドしたタンナーオリジナルの固形オイルワックスを、職人がスポンジを使用して2回に分けて繰り返し手塗りで練りこんでいます。革を十分に寝かせたうえで職人が最後に手アイロンで一枚ずつ表面のオイルワックスを溶かし革の繊維に浸透させています。革の断面、繊維にまでしっかりとオイルワックスが浸みこんでいるため、折った部分が軽く白化するプールアップを愉しむことができ、表情に立体感を生みだします。オイルワックスが生み出すキメの細かい上品な美光沢が特徴で、カジュアルにもビジネスにもマッチします。使用していくにつれ、こすれた部分からさらに艶が増していき、経年変化を愉しむことができます。
