Description
| [Poem in ink by Yamatohka] Sentouka, painted by Shizuoka City calligrapher Kayodo Tanaka. Sumi-e (ink painting) changes slightly with the strength of the brush. This jinbei is made of yarn-dyed fabric by craftsmen in the Enshu area, then dyed by the same high technology of the Enshu area, then made of delicate stencil-dyed fabric, and sewn by cutting one piece at a time. The unique unevenness, called "dobby weave," is a feature of this item. [The unevenness of the dobby reduces the surface in contact with the skin, creating a light and airy feel. The pleasant feel against the skin makes it ideal for everyday spring and summer wear. |
