| A round zipper long wallet in a simple form with excellent storage capacity. The bellows design makes it easy to see inside and easy to take contents in and out. With four card pockets on each side, plus plenty of compartments, the contents of the wallet can be stored very neatly. In the center, there is a zipper pocket that can hold plenty of coins. Tochigi Leather has the world's largest pit-tanning facilities, with approximately 160 pit-tanks, each of which is filled with tannin solution made mainly from Brazilian mimosa trees. The skins are moved repeatedly from pit tanks with light tannin concentration to those with thicker tannin concentration, and are slowly soaked over a period of about 20 days. This is exactly where the quality of Tochigi leather lies. After about 20 processes, the skins are transformed into leather. Leather tanned with vegetable tannin is called "Nume leather," and its color and texture change over time with sunlight and hand oil. |

【革について】栃木レザー(ジーンズ)
程よいオイル艶が抜群の深みを生み出す栃木レザー社が誇るオイルタンニンレザー。ベジタブルタンニンで鞣した革を、ドラムに入れて染色。下染めをした後に、表面の染色は職人の手により染色していきます。特別にブレンドした油脂を加えることで、ヌメ革ならではのコシを残しながら、程よく柔らかく、しっとりとした質感に仕上げています。工程の最後に仕上げ剤を塗布して吟面をコーティングすることで、色止め効果や傷や汚れから保護しています。名前のとおりジーンズのヒップラベルにも使用されていたりとカジュアルな表情が特徴で、ジーンズのように使用していくごとにどんどんなじんでいき、経年変化を楽しむことができます。栃木レザーのベジタブルタンニン鞣し（ピット鞣し）とは...約160ものピット槽を持つ栃木レザーの設備は、世界でも随一の規模を誇り、細かく分けられた各ピット槽には、主にブラジル産ミモザのタンニン溶解液が入っています。淡いタンニン濃度のピット槽から濃厚なピット槽まで、濃度の異なるピット槽へ皮を何度も移動させ、約20日間かけてじっくりと漬け込みます。栃木レザーの革の品質はまさにここにあります。約20のプロセスを経て、「皮」は「革」へと生まれ変わります。植物タンニンで鞣された革は「ヌメ革」とよばれ、コシが強く日光や手の油で色や風合いが経年変化します。
