Description
| Hinoki (Japanese cypress), which has long been used as a wood for building temples and shrines, is made into wooden postcards and printed with ukiyoe, an art form that is the pride of Japan and was depicted for the enjoyment of the common people in the Edo period (1603-1868). The Fifty-three Pairs of Tokaido is a set of large-format nishiki-e prints produced by Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Utagawa Hiroshige, and Utagawa Toyokuni III. The subjects of the prints are not landscapes, but anecdotes and personalities associated with the region and the names of the places. Because they are made from real wood, the grain, texture, and scent are the wood itself. It is specially processed to be sliced and used like paper, so it is not bulky. Made from thinned Japanese cypress wood, contributing to the promotion of recycling in Japan's forests. Environmentally friendly recommended product. It can be easily enjoyed by attaching it to the wall with pushpins or displaying it in a photo stand. It can be used not only as a postcard, but also as an interior accent.
