常滑焼（とこなめやき）は、平安時代後期から1,000年の歴史を有し、日本六古窯のひとつに数えられる焼き物産地です。急須や食器などの日用品から陶管・タイル・衛生陶器などの建築資材まで幅広い製品がつくられています。昭和51年6月11日、国の「伝統的工芸品産業の振興に関する法律」に基づき伝統的工芸品として産地指定を受けました。
■茶葉が細かい深蒸し茶も安心して使うことの出来るステンレス製の茶こしを採用しています。
■2〜3人分の容量とお考えください（1人100mlとして）
■鉄分を含んだ朱泥陶土で出来ており、その上から化粧土を吹き付け1100度で焼成しています。素材に有害な物質は含まれていません。
■手描きによる絵付けが施されています。
■蓋と本体は一対にする為すり合わせ作業を行います。その為蓋と本体に研磨した痕があります。
