Bachan ware is a type of ceramics produced in Bachan village in the suburbs of Hanoi in northern Vietnam. It has a long history, and it is said that many ceramics were produced in Bach Chan Village around the 15th century and were exported to Japan during the Muromachi and Edo periods under the name of "Seinan-yaki" (southwest ceramics). Today, Bach Chan is still known as a pottery production area, and there are a number of wholesale stores and workshops in the village.
