| Hinoki" (Japanese cypress), which has long been used as a wood for building temples and shrines, is made into a wooden seal and printed with "Ukiyoe", a proud Japanese art form that has been depicted for the enjoyment of common people in the Edo period (1603-1868). Ukiyoe artist Hiroshige Utagawa was one of the leading ukiyoe artists of the Edo period and had a great influence on European impressionists and Art *Nouveau artists. Yamashita-cho, Hibiya-gai-sakurada" was selected from "Meisho Edo hyakkei (One hundred Famous Views of Edo)", a series of paintings depicting famous places and people's lives in Edo. Made from real wood, the grain, texture, and fragrance are the very same as the wood itself. It is sliced and specially processed to be used like paper, so it is not bulky. Made from thinned Japanese cypress wood, contributing to the promotion of recycling in Japan's forests. This is an environmentally friendly recommended product.
