Description
| This product is made by reusing a wooden pattern used in Kuretake's sumi-zukuri (sumi-zukuri) process, and is decorated with "Wajima maki-e" to bring out the texture of the ink-stained wooden surface. The maki-e design depicts a "rising dragon" rising vigorously to the heavens, symbolizing strength and heroism, and expressing the hope that Wajima will recover as powerfully as the rising dragon. Each piece is carefully finished by hand by craftsmen, and is a gem of a fusion of traditional beauty and high technology.
