This calendar is inspired by the hand-woven carpets of the nomadic Kashgay people of Iran. The raw material for the handmade paper is lokta, which is found in the high Himalayas at altitudes of 1,800 to 3,000 meters. Lokta is an earth-friendly material because it is a renewable paper resource when harvested and produced in the right way. Handmade paper from Nepal, at the foot of the Himalayas, is called Himalayan/Rice/Paper, and is made from the bark of the locta tree, which is found in the Himalayan highlands between 1,800 and 3,000 meters above sea level. Each piece is made by hand using a method that has remained unchanged since ancient times. In addition to being resistant to insects, the paper is very strong and durable. Hand painted calendar made of handmade paper from Nepal.

ネパールの手漉き紙を使ったハンドペイントのカレンダー。
イラン遊牧民カシュガイ族の手織り絨毯をモチーフにしたカレンダーです。
手漉き紙の原料は標高1,800〜3,000mのヒマラヤの高地に生息するロクタを使用しています。
ロクタは正しいやり方で伐採、生産すると再生力のある紙資源のため地球に優しい素材です。
ヒマラヤの山麓、ネパールの手漉き紙は「Himalayan/Rice/Paper（ヒマラヤン・ライスペーパー）」と呼ばれ、1,800〜3,000mのヒマラヤの高地に生息する沈丁花（ロクタ）の樹皮を原料にしています。紀元前の古来より変わらない手法によって一枚一枚手で漉いて作られています。
また、虫などに強い性質を持っている上、とても丈夫で強い紙になっています。色塗りもすべて手作業です。
