| This is a gorgeous piece with decorated paisleys. The base color is dyed camel beige, and the white area has a small floral pattern in light blue. [Persian chintz] is a traditional hand-dyed cloth from Isfahan, the ancient capital of Iran. The cloth is dyed by repeatedly pressing a wooden plate with a detailed pattern carved on it, and each piece is made by hand over a long period of time. The fabric is firm and thick, and is very useful as an interior fabric, used for sofa covers and tapestries.
