[GARYU]
Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture is a casting town that has been in existence for over 400 years since the Edo period. Nakamura Seisakusho, one of the many local factories, excels in lost wax casting technology that can produce detailed and intricate expressions, and casting dragons with beautiful scale patterns has long been one of its specialties. The dragons were lying dormant in the warehouse of such a small factory. The GARYU series is a modern revival of about 50 different dragon casts created by the late lost-wax mold prototype maker *Gekiho Suga*.

*Wax mold prototype maker, the late Mr. Tsukuyoshi Suga
Born in 1935, his grandfather was a wax mold cast maker, Tsukinaso Matsu I (real name: Suga Inazatoshi), who inherited his techniques for three generations and produced a wide variety of wax mold castings.

*About Nakamura Seisakusho

Nakamura Seisakusho is located in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, a town of cast metal*, and has been producing expressive metal crafts using the exquisite lost-wax process, while inheriting a casting tradition that has continued for more than 400 years.

Nakamura Seisakusho fuses the delicate techniques of craftsmanship with modern sensibilities to create products that bring tradition into the present and give form to the Japanese sense of beauty.
