*Molds for making flower-shaped fried sweets, traditional in Southeast Asia.

This metal mold is a traditional cooking tool found in Vietnamese markets and is used to make fried pastries. The flower-shaped metal mold attached to the end of a stick is heated in oil, dipped in batter, and then placed back in the oil to fry thin, light, flower-shaped pastries. They are characterized by their crispy texture, and a sprinkling of powdered sugar or cinnamon at the finish enhances their gentle sweetness.

In Vietnam, these fried pastries are a simple snack made at home, and are a light and nostalgic taste that is eaten during the Lunar New Year (Tet). Similar snacks are also popular in other parts of Southeast Asia, where they are called "kanom*dk*jok" in Thailand, "kui*ros" in Malaysia and Singapore, and "achappam" in southern India, and have taken root in the food culture of each region. Among the Chinese communities in Malaysia, kui-*roth is a popular snack for Chinese New Year celebrations, and is often served in homes.

In Europe, they are known as "rosette cookies," and are a popular seasonal snack, especially at Christmas.

The roots of this fried pastry are said to be in Northern Europe and the Middle East, and it is believed to have been introduced to Asia through trade and cultural exchange during the colonial period. Although there are differences in ingredients and flavoring from region to region, the basic process of frying using a metal flower-shaped mold is the same all over the world.

With this tool, you can easily recreate the traditional taste of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian kitchens at home. This product has a simple and quiet charm with a nostalgic feel.
