[The organic forms and details of the "Corridor" series are taken from the quiet yet dynamic movement of life that plants possess. Cutting, twisting, tying, grinding, stroking... The circular movement of lines and surfaces is like an endless corridor. The shading and changes in the glaze appear in the ridges, the grain lines, and the shaving marks, and the deep and gentle texture unique to Shigaraki ware can be fully appreciated. "Each person can enjoy [the corridor] in his or her own way." Besides arranging flowers and plants, you can also decorate it with your favorite ornaments, fake fruits, shells you picked up at the beach, pine cones, and so on.
