[Kiln Guard] Deep in the Anagama, incarnations of clay and fire seem to have appeared from another world. The rough clay surface. The expression of serenity. A calm and mysterious appearance, somewhat reminiscent of a Jizo or a stone Buddha. The boldness of the work is imbued with delicate handiwork, and the contradictory qualities blend into one. "Roughness and simplicity, wabi and healing, and sometimes humor." [One of the charms of Kiln Mamoru is that it evokes different feelings in different viewers. Is it healing, protection, or a projection of oneself? It starts a quiet dialogue with each viewer's sensitivity. What you feel and how you receive it is entirely up to you. Anagama is a type of traditional Shigaraki wood-fired kiln. The coarse-grained clay, which is close to the original clay, and the ashes from the firewood that fall directly on the vessels produce the characteristic [burnt* scarlet* beadlo* stone haze] and other kiln changes through high temperatures and chemical reactions. [Kiln Guard] was inspired by the unique and strong presence of [broken tea bowls] and [kiln guard utensils that have been fired over and over again] that are thrown away near the anagama. Which unique aura is carefully and deliberately expressed by human hands to create an atmosphere as comfortable as possible by borrowing the form of animals. What is hechimon... [The name comes from a Shigaraki craftsman's word used to mean "windswept object. Just like the various shapes created by nature and the individuality of each of us, The vessels have a variety of expressions, just like the various shapes created by nature and the individual personalities of each of us. They are more like farm products than industrial products. [These vessels are made by skilled craftsmen who know the importance of "heterogeneity" and are filled with playfulness and sincerity.
