Description
| Using solid fuel, you can enjoy the feeling of dining at a ryotei (Japanese-style restaurant) or ryokan (Japanese-style inn). Heat is not lost, and hot food can be enjoyed. The excellent heat storage properties of cast iron and the softness of the heat allow you to enjoy cooking. The pot can be cooked on an induction cooker or over an open flame. The more the pot is used, the more it becomes accustomed to oil, making it easier to use. [Preparation before use] When using the pot for the first time, rinse it in cold water, drain off the water, add cooking oil and vegetable scraps, fry thoroughly, wash the inside well again, and put it on the fire with cooking oil. If using a burnt cedar lid, please wash it thoroughly before use. [Cautions for use]. When using it for the first time, the food may burn on the lid because oil is not spread over it, but it will become less likely to burn after 2~3 times of use. Be sure to add cooking oil before use. Use gas on medium or low heat. When using a 200 V induction cooker, avoid rapid heating and use medium heat. May not be used with some models of induction cookers. Do not use in microwave* ovens. Do not store food in the unit. After cooking, transfer the food to another container for storage. If you are concerned about the smell of the burnt cedar lid, put the lid in hot water with vinegar and boil it for a while to get rid of the smell. The lid will emit a light juice due to the nature of the wood, but please be assured that it is harmless to the human body. [Care after use] To clean the lid, wash it well with a sponge moistened with neutral detergent. After that, remove all moisture, bake the product until the moisture is gone, wipe it with a dry cloth with a thin layer of fresh cooking oil, and store it away from moisture. Do not use a steel scrubber or cleanser. Do not scrub with a knife or similar tool. Soak in hot water to soften, then carefully remove. [How to care for peeling paint on pots and pans] 1Scrub off the peeled paint with a hard sponge and clean. 2. After wiping off the water, apply cooking oil to the entire inside of the pot and heat it over low to medium heat until it becomes hot. 3. Turn off the heat and allow the oil to acclimate until cool. *The surface coating is a safe resin. Even if ingested into the body, it will not affect the human body as it will not be absorbed and will be discharged outside the body. *If the peeled off part is rusted, scrub it off with a hard sponge, and then proceed with steps 2 and 3. [Other cautions]. In rare cases, the food may turn black, but this is caused by a compound of iron and minerals in the food, and does not affect the human body. Sudden drying of the wooden lid may cause cracking. Do not use a dishwasher or dryer. |
