Description
| *Persian influenced artwork. This is a traditional Kashmiri paper mache glove box, which is made of small pieces of paper torn into small pieces and glued together, and beautifully decorated by artisans. The history of paper mache dates back to around the 15th century. It was introduced when a Kashmiri prince who was imprisoned in Samarkand returned to Kashmir. The design of paper mache was therefore strongly influenced by Persia, with flowers, birds, and arabesques being incorporated into the design. Kashmir's majestic mountains and beautiful lakes. These are works of art nurtured in the rich nature that surrounds them. *They are made with a great deal of care and attention. First, the material paper is soaked in water for several days until it crumbles, and then paper and rice straw are combined to form a pulp. It is then placed in a wooden, brass, or other mold and allowed to dry for several more days. Once dry, the surface is polished and shaped to form the base, a primer is applied, and the craftsman carefully paints the surface with a brush. Finally, a characteristic glossy finish is applied to the surface, which gives it a unique shine when it catches the light and makes the painting stand out even more. *Convenient as a small accessory case! Perfect for storing your favorite earrings, accessories, car keys, or other small items. Beautifully decorated, you can use it in a public place such as an entryway or on a shelf, or anywhere else you like. |
