Description
| The most beautiful Kyoto is here! Photographs and copy that invite the spirit of travel in one book! The first poster featured a photo of Kiyomizu-dera Temple and the copy, "It might be cooler to know more about Kyoto than Paris or Los Angeles. The first poster featured a photo of Kiyomizu-dera Temple with the copy "It might be cooler to know Kyoto a little better than Paris or Los Angeles. By inserting the twisted perspective of a modern traveler into a photo of Kyoto in the middle of the city, a chemical reaction occurred. This photo and copy got us off to a good start and seemed to set the course for the Kyoto campaign. Thirty years have passed since then--and the campaign is still going strong. This book is a compilation of 86 photographs and copy excerpts from past posters. The old and new narrators, Kyozo Nagatsuka and Tasuku Emoto, and copywriter Emi Ota also share some of the campaign's secret stories. We hope you will be inspired to visit Kyoto again as you enjoy the past 30 years of posters. |
