Description
| How was Van Gogh's [passion] received?   Van Gogh produced numerous paintings in the span of only 37 years, and his unique style of undulating brushstrokes and vivid colors, as well as his dramatic life, not only moved those involved in the art world, but also had a strong impact on the broader cultural and social landscape from that time to the present. This exhibition examines the new passions that artists of Van Gogh's generation, from his contemporaries to the present day, have generated in their respective eras, and which they have named "Van Gogh*Impact". The exhibition includes works by Yasumasa Morimura, Miran Fukuda, and Toru Kuwakubo that embody Van Gogh's reception. |
