美濃焼は岐阜県南部、東濃（とうのう）地方で製作されている陶磁器の総称です。
現在の土岐市・多治見市・笠原町・瑞浪市などの辺りが産地として知られています。
茶筌（茶筅）は水を溜めた容器の中に穂先部分を入れ、汚れを落とすように振って洗います。振っても落ちない汚れは、穂先を優しくしごくようにして落として下さい。きれいになったら、茶碗と同様に湿気が溜まらない場所で乾かします。なお、穂先は非常にデリケートな部分ですので、触れる際はゴシゴシ洗うのではなく優しく洗うようにして下さい。竹は水を溜めた容器の中に入れ、汚れを落とすように振って洗います。振っても落ちない汚れは、穂先を優しくしごくようにして落として下さい。きれいになったら、茶碗と同様に湿気が溜まらない場所で乾かします。なお、穂先は非常にデリケートな部分ですので、触れる際はゴシゴシ洗うのではなく優しく洗うようにして下さい。
