| This apron is made of hand block prints, a traditional Indian dyeing technique in which dye is applied to a hand-carved wooden plate (block) and pressed repeatedly onto the cloth to create a pattern. The artisan carefully applies the dye one plate at a time, which produces a delicate gradation, unique texture, and warmth that cannot be expressed by machine printing.
