Description
| *Traditional Andean musical instrument made in Bali Sampoña, a traditional musical instrument of the Andes in South America, is handmade by craftsmen in Bali using bamboo. The instrument is made of bamboo tubes of different sizes, which are arranged side by side and bundled together. The sampoña was originally popular in the high Andean mountains as a musical instrument that produced a wind-like sound. Locally, it is used in folklore music along with quena and other instruments to create simple and melancholy melodies. It is often used in festivals and street performances, and the way it is played, swaying from side to side in time with the rhythm, is impressive. The colorful dot paintings are hand-painted one by one. The warmth of the bamboo is combined with the flavor of folk art, creating a design that is not only fun to play, but also visually gorgeous and unique. It is a perfect piece for sound play, interior decoration, or as a gift. It is also a great gift for those who love ethnic music and world music. This instrument was born from the meeting of two cultures, Bali and the Andes. |
