*If you want to bake chapattis, this is the way to do it!

This is a steel chapatti pan (baking) that is commonly used by Indian people on a daily basis. Even in Chinese cooking, the taste of food prepared in a Teflon frying pan is completely different from food prepared in a steel frying pan.

In the same way, I believe that simple chapattis will taste much better if they are baked in a steel chapatti pan, as Indians do!

The simple construction of the pan makes it sturdy, unbreakable, and durable enough to last for generations to come.

*About seasoning

This chapati pan is coated to protect it from rusting and during transportation. Before use, they need to be seasoned in the same way as woks. There are various methods, but a simple method of seasoning is as follows.

1. to remove the coating, warm the pan over medium heat, then wash it well with warm water and a mild detergent.

Wipe the pan dry and spread a thin layer of cooking oil over the entire surface.

Heat again to a higher temperature (the oil may smoke a little, but this is part of the seasoning process).

Repeat this oiling and heating process several times until the surface is evenly darkened. Please be careful for safety as fire is used.

*For daily use

After washing, do not allow any water to remain on the surface as it will rust. Dry over a light fire or wipe thoroughly with a dry cloth.

A thin coat of oil before storing will prevent rust. If possible, it is safer to let it warm up for a few minutes before putting it away. Before using, rinse the pots quickly with water, wipe them down, and let them warm up a little before starting to use them.
