Ganesha is also popular not only in India but also in Thailand. It is a bit surprising to see a large statue of Ganesha in front of the World Trade Center in Thailand. *Beautiful lame! 象の神様ガネーシャは最高神シヴァの子供。以前は人間の首を持っていたが、ある日シヴァの逆鱗に触れ、頭を切り落とされてしまう。それを見た母親のパールバティが「それはかわいそう…」と言って、たまたま近くを通りかかったゾウの頭を付けたのだとか…
ガネーシャは金運の神様で、インドでは絶大な人気がある神様です。お店に行くと大概飾ってありますし、ガネーシャだけを祭る「ガネーシャ・チャトゥルティ」と言うお祭りも年に一回、ムンバイで催されています。またインドだけでなく、ガネーシャはタイでも人気の神様。タイのワールドトレードセンターの前にでかいガネーシャ像があるのは一寸驚きです
■綺麗なラメ入り！場所を選ばず色んな所へ！
