Description
| *Traditional instruments Gongs and cymbals have traditionally been used in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. They are indispensable for festivals and ceremonies, and have been passed down from generation to generation as the most important assets, especially for some minority tribes. There are stories of people protecting their cymbals and gongs even in the midst of war, leaving their livestock and grain behind. The traditional playing of the dora and cymbals has been designated an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. *Antique texture Unlike so-called "cymbals" when struck, the sound is not loud but calm and resonant. Please try a sample of the sound by clicking the play button at the bottom of the photo on the product page. The decoration is modest, so you can enjoy it not only as a musical instrument but also as a tribal interior decoration. |
