[Semi-porcelain] Semi-porcelain is a type of pottery made by combining earthenware and porcelain clay, and has the characteristics of both pottery and porcelain. To ensure long-lasting use and enjoyment, please use with the following precautions. [Pottery (earthenware) This is a typical pottery material that has been used in daily life since ancient times. It is often highly absorbent, coarse-grained, soft, and prone to chipping, but it is available in a wide range of types and is easy to get used to and has a rich texture. [Pottery (kohiki) This type of pottery is made of white clay, coated with a transparent glaze, and fired. Because of its water absorbency, it is characterized by the formation of dark and light blotches called "rain leaks" as the potter uses it more and more. It is a material that should be handled with care, but it has a unique texture with warmth. [Heat-resistant pottery] Heat-resistant pottery contains petalite (a special heat-resistant material). This material is used to prevent breakage due to thermal expansion even when the vessel is subjected to a load from heating. If handled properly, it is a convenient material that can be used as a vessel or cooking utensil. [Earthenware] Earthen pots contain petalite (a special heat-resistant material).
