| Cantha Embroidery Silk Stole, 1 piece Recycled Saree, 1 piece [item number] sin516 [Size] 204 x 88 cm [Place of origin] INDIA [Material] Silk Silk scarf with kantha embroidery. The front side is a patchwork of fabrics cut into 20 cm pieces and joined by hand, while the back side has simple colors pasted together. The base silk fabric is recycled from saris (women's costumes). The sari used is believed to be from the Bengal region in the late 20th century, and the embroidered fabric is also made in the Bengal region today. It is a large size and quite voluminous as a stole. It is recommended for use as a lap blanket, sofa throw, or curtains as interior fabric. Since it is made of old fabric (mainly silk saris from old ethnic costumes), there may be small fraying, etc., but since the fabric is layered and embroidered, there are no holes or other damage. カンタ刺繍のシルクストールです。表面は20cm程度にカットされた布を手作業でつなぎ合わせたパッチワーク、裏面はシンプルな色が貼り合わせてあります。ベースのシルク地はサリー（女性の衣装）のリサイクルです。
使われているサリーは20世紀後期のベンガル地方のものとされ、刺繍布も同じくベンガル地方で現在つくられています。大判サイズで、ストールとしてはかなりのボリュームがあります。ひざ掛けにしたり、インテリアファブリックとしてソファースローやカーテンのような使い方にもおすすめです。
古布(主に古い民族衣装のシルクサリー）を使っていますので、小さな擦り切れ等が見られる場合がありますが、生地を重ねて刺繍を施していますので、穴などのダメージはありません。多少のゆがみやツレている箇所などがありますが、全体として手作業できれいに仕上げられています。
