Description
| This bowl has a quiet presence created by the smooth curves and warmth of wood. The gently curved form, inspired by iron bowls, blends naturally with both modern Japanese and Scandinavian styles, and adds a serene beauty to food and space. This product is made using an environmentally friendly and ethical manufacturing process that was invented by our company in the 1960s and has been used since that time. Unlike the usual machining process, it is made three-dimensionally by stacking single boards, thereby reducing waste loss to one-fifth to one-seventh that of the usual machining process. At that time, we mainly exported our products to the U.S., but we did not apply for a patent because we wanted to use limited resources carefully. As a result, the process has now spread to various manufacturers in Japan and overseas, and has become a common manufacturing method.
