Description
| [ natural stones power stone accessories fashion accessories ] What is [Oomuchitama]? It is a large cedar at the main shrine of the Ise Jingu (Inner Shrine), where the eight mirrors, one of the three sacred treasures of the Ise Jingu, are enshrined. It is a part of the cedar that collapsed by Typhoon No. 18 in 2009. The Ise Jingu Shrine consists of the Inner Shrine, which enshrines Amaterasu, the great ancestor deity, and the Outer Shrine, which enshrines Toyoke-no-Omikami, the guardian deity of food, clothing, and shelter. The cedar trees that grow in the shrine's forests are called "Jingu cedars. Because trees in the forest of the shrine are not allowed to be cut down, only cedar trees that are more than 300 years old and have been felled by the wind are considered to be "Jingu-cedar". Only windfall trees that are over 300 years old are called "Oyama cedar," and are only rarely seen in the world. The "Muchi" in "Ohmuchinotama" is a precious name for "noble god," and the name "Ohmuchinotama" means a pearl from a very noble god. **************** *Beads *strands / *Carved beads *grains *Material *Parts / *Display *Bracelets / *Rings *Necklaces / *Pendant tops *Straps / *Earrings *Ornaments / *Minerals ************ |
