Tokonameyaki has a 1,000-year history dating back to the late Heian period and is one of the six oldest kilns in Japan. A wide range of products are made here, from daily necessities such as teapots and tableware to construction materials such as ceramic pipes, tiles, and sanitary ware. On June 11, 1976, the area was designated as a traditional crafts area based on the national "Law Concerning the Promotion of Traditional Craft Industries.

*The entire kyusu is made of ceramic. It features a ceramesh (ceramic tea strainer) that can extract the flavor of tea.
*Please consider the capacity to serve 2 to 3 people (100ml per person).
*This tea strainer is made of quenched clay, covered with decorative clay, and fired at 1200°C. It contains no harmful substances. The material contains no harmful substances.
*The surface is decorated with a traditional technique of tobikanna (a kind of "tobikanna") using a potter's wheel.
*The lid and the body are mortised together in order to make a pair. Therefore, there are polishing marks on the lid and body.
