Copper is a very familiar metal, used in coins not only around the world but also in Japan. It is believed to have antibacterial properties, and you can often find a variety of antibacterial goods made of copper on the street.

In traditional Indian beauty practices, it is customary to fill a copper container with water at night and drink it in the morning. It is believed to balance the dosha and improve the condition of the body, and is mainly used in India and Nepal.

*Please note that acidic beverages other than water, such as sports drinks and carbonated beverages, do not contain copper, as it will be chemically altered and excess copper will be leached out.

*Long history with copper

Copper is considered to be the first metal that mankind began to use. Copper has been used for tableware since ancient times. Copper products were also used in ancient India, where the Charaka Samhita, a traditional Indian beauty book from around 300 B.C., describes a method of storing water in a copper pot to purify it.

*Care Instructions

Since the bottle is made of pure copper, it will gradually oxidize and darken over time, especially inside. One easy way to care for the inside of the bottle is to use citric acid. Dissolve a few tablespoons of citric acid in hot water and let it sit for up to three minutes. Then, after dumping out the water inside, rinse well with water and dry thoroughly.

In addition to citric acid, a solution of vinegar and salt, or baking soda and lemon can also be used to remove black stains. When cleaning, be careful not to leave too long with the cleaning solution applied, as the acid may cause discoloration, damage, etc.
