Description
| CAUTION: Microwaving will not cause the vessel to crack, but microwaving with thick, oily sauces such as tomato sauce or curry will cause the ceramic to expand slightly, spreading cracks, and the oil will be hotter, accelerating the penetration of the sauce compared to use at room temperature. Not for open flame. Dishwasher safe. Each piece is handmade by the artist. Masanori Tanaka (56 years old) Born in Dachi, Gifu*, Tanaka is a ceramic artist who pursued his own unique world centering on Oribe. Although he underwent dialysis for many years due to kidney disease, he never stopped creating and always explored new forms of expression. During the course of his life, he was once blessed with a donor and underwent a successful transplant operation, which further strengthened his passion for creation. However, in his later years, he had to battle immunodeficiency due to a fungus that had invaded his body through a red stump, and he quietly passed away, leaving his thoughts and feelings behind in his studio. This collection is the last testament of his life, in which he continued to work with soil despite the harshness of his body. Masanori Tanaka (Aged 56) Born in Dachi, Gifu, Masanori Tanaka was a ceramic artist known for his distinctive Oribe style. A successful kidney transplant once restored his strength and deepened his commitment to his craft. In his final years, however, a small skin fissure led to a severe infection, and he passed away after a hard battle against immune failure. This collection stands as the final testament of an artist who continued to face the clay with unwavering resolve until his last days. |

*Please note that due to the nature of ceramics, there may be slight differences in color and size from those shown in the pictures due to the firing process. *Note: Using a microwave will not cause the pottery to crack or break. However, when using the microwave with rich sauces containing oil (such as tomato sauce or curry), the earthenware expands slightly and the fine cracks open up. Combined with the high temperature of the oil, this accelerates the penetration of the sauce compared to use at room temperature.
