Postcards & Envelopes (with wax)
Five new greeting cards are now available from Jolly Posh.

Sweet shadow dango walking to and fro, and taiyaki, the way of Kyoto

and taiyaki are also the road of Kyoto.

This is what we put into our products. Wax paper is a mysterious paper that is impervious to oil and water, and was once used to wrap bread and udon noodles. Wax paper is a material made by soaking kraft paper in wax, and is still used today as wrapping paper for sweets and other items. We used this wax paper to make bags, envelopes, and wrapping paper. We hope you will find it nostalgic and easy to use. We hope you will enjoy our carefully crafted products that take advantage of the food wrapping techniques we have cultivated over the years.

What is wax paper?
In the past, wax paper was used to wrap bread and udon noodles. The name of the bakery was printed in red letters on white translucent paper, or the name of the product was printed in white letters on white paper. The paper was so strange that it could not be stained with oil, nor could pencil or magic ink be used to write on it... It was such a mysterious paper. When I fell and scraped my knee playing outside, I would put a brown piece of paper called "oil paper" on it and wrap a bandage around it. Oil paper was paper that did not soak up oil. In other words, wax paper. Kraft paper soaked in wax.
In this way, wax paper was used in various aspects of daily life. Even today, wax paper is still very useful as wrapping paper for gum and candy.
We tried making beautiful bags, envelopes, and wrapping paper using wax paper. We hope you will feel the texture that evokes nostalgia and the usability that is relevant to the present.
