It can block out light, so tea is less likely to tarnish. The height of the lid is 3.5 cm for both the large and small sizes. Designed to be neither too deep nor too shallow, it is just the right size to receive snacks (nuts and snacks) when stored in addition to tea. A warm natural wood knob is used for the inner lid. The inner lid is made of specially treated stainless steel to prevent scratches from showing.
