This is the first in a series of weekend crafts that make it easy for even beginners to create cute sundries in a short amount of time. This book introduces how to make sundries using woodblock prints, which can be done with a revolutionarily simple technique. The woodblock print technique introduced in this book is characterized by the fact that even beginners can do it easily without troublesome plate changes, since the colors are printed on the same plate in layers. You can make shop-quality goods by yourself. The book introduces how to make 10 types of items such as birthday cards, book covers, and letter sets, as well as about 100 different designs. All of the patterns come with full-size sketches, so they can be copied and used as is. The woodblock prints included in the book are by Sara Kajino, a printmaker known for her work on picture books produced by Misuzu Bindo, a bookbinding studio.
