| From Green Sahel to everyone We will deliver "Green Sahel ・ Original 2018 Calendar". This time also the photograph of Mr. Yoshio Komatsu and design by Mr. Yoshikazu Kuramae, finished in a very nice calendar. Again, I am grateful that there was warm support from everyone who is looking forward to the calendar of this group. In the Sahel region located south of the Sahara desert in Africa, drying and land degradation are progressing at a time, people living there are in a crisis situation. "Green Sahel" Since its establishment in 1991, we have worked with local residents, working to improve residents' lives and restore the environment. Three countries, Burkina Faso, Chad and Tanzania, have been active so far. The word is not only to plant trees, but to make lives where you can plant trees. I want to see the smiling face of the local people in the land of the resurrected green Sahel, for that reason "Green Sahel", we would like to continue working with you in the future. 「緑のサヘル・オリジナル2018年カレンダー」をお届け致します。今回も小松義夫氏の写真と蔵前仁一氏のデザインによって、とても素敵なカレンダーに仕上がりました。これも、当団体のカレンダーを心待ちにして下さっている皆様からの温かいご支援があってのことと感謝しております。
アフリカのサハラ砂漠の南に位置するサヘル地域では、乾燥化や土地の荒廃が刻一刻と進みつつあり、そこに暮らす人々は危機的な状況にあります。「緑のサヘル」1991年の設立以来、現地の方々と手を携え、住民生活の向上と環境の回復に努めています。これまで活動したのはブルキナファソ、チャド、タンザニアの3か国。合言葉は「木を植えるだけでなく、木を植えることが出来る生活作り」です。
緑がよみがえったサヘルの地で、現地の方々の笑顔が見たいーそのために「緑のサヘル」は皆様と共に、これからも地道に活動を続けて参りたいと考えております。皆様、どうぞこれからも「緑のサヘル」を宜しくお願い致します。
