It is suitable for souvenirs, gifts, and daily use. What is Maki-e? Maki-e is a traditional technique unique to Japan in which a pattern is drawn on a lacquer ware by brush or silk and decorated by sprinkling gold, silver, or colored powder on the drawn area. Maki-e lacquerware is considered a specialty of Japan, so much so that it is called "Japan. Since the decoration is done by hand by experienced craftsmen, it is different from general printing, and each product is unique and different from the other products in the world. |
