Description
| Nakayoshi Kokeshi are cute kokeshi characters based on the traditional kokeshi dolls of the Tohoku region. The Nakayoshi Kokeshi, mainly through stationery and sundry goods, convey the culture of the Tohoku region and good Japanese culture, including traditional games and daily life. This notepad [Nakayoshi Kokeshi Nishimonai Bon Odori] was created to commemorate the Tohoku Rokkon Festival. The Nishimonai Bon Dance in Akita Prefecture is said to have started about 700 years ago. On August 16, when the sun sets over the mountains of Izuwa to send off the ancestral spirits, Yose-daiko (drum) music sounds in Nishimonai, Hago Town, and dressed-up children perform Ondo dance on the bonfire-lit Honmachi Street, opening the three-day Bon Dance. |

このメモ帳は、東北六魂祭りを記念して制作された「なかよしこけし西馬音内盆踊り」です。秋田県の西馬音内盆踊りは、およそ7百年前に始まったとされ、祖霊たちを送る盆の八月十六日に出羽の山並みに日が沈むころ、羽後町西馬音内に寄せ太鼓の囃子が鳴り響き、着飾った子供たちが、篝火のたかれた本町通りで音頭の踊りを披露し、三日間にわたる盆踊りが幕を開けます。
