| Nakayoshi Kokeshi are cute kokeshi characters based on the traditional kokeshi dolls of the Tohoku region. The Nakayoshi Kokeshi, mainly through stationery and sundry goods, convey the culture of the Tohoku region and good Japanese culture, including traditional games and daily life. This notepad is a "Nakayoshi Kokeshi Fukushima Waraji Festival" created to commemorate the Tohoku Rokkon Festival. After the dedication of the largest waraji in Japan, 12 meters long and weighing 2 tons, women in yukata and men in happi dance to the tune of "Heisei Waraji Ondo" (Heisei Waraji Ondo). |
