Description
| The U.S. military's cold weather clothing system, introduced in the 1980s, entered its third generation in the 2000s, combining seven levels (types) of clothing, from level 1 to level 7. LEVEL 7 is also called "marshmallow suit" in the Army and "puppy suit" in the Marines. LEVEL 7 is the last layer of the ECWCS and can be used in environments as low as -46°C (-46°F), depending on the inner layer combination. It is not intended to be worn in combat, but rather as a standby suit at a frontline base, with only two pockets for hand warmers. Our products use "Sorona®", a high-performance polyester made by DuPont of the United States, for the inner lining. Sorona® polymer is as light and warm as down, has excellent moisture retention properties, and has high compressibility and recovery properties that keep the inside of the garment from becoming stuffy even in humid environments.
