Next, using a hard, round object such as the handle of a toothbrush, crush and smooth the edges of the flaw. 2. Filling: Melt Shellac Glossy (sold separately) with an electric iron (sold separately) and fill in the flaw. If the colors do not match, melt two or more Shellac Glossy on the tip of the iron and mix them together with a bamboo skewer or toothpick. *Put more than the scratched area. *3. Protect from heat: Apply a generous amount of heat protectant (sold separately) to the filled area and its surrounding area, wider than the width of the iron. 4. Molding: Keep the electric heating iron at a 45 degree angle to the filled area and pull it toward you to flatten and shape it in two to three times. *Wipe off any excess shellac glaze on the iron with a cloth each time. *5. Coloring (drawing the wood grain): If the wood grain of the repaired area is broken, use a wood grain pen (sold separately) to add the wood grain. *After drawing the dots, blur the lines with steel wool to obtain a natural finish. If you have drawn the grain too dark, you can reproduce the grain more naturally by rubbing it lightly with steel wool to blur the grain. |
