This ethnic costume is full of ethnic atmosphere with mirror work in places. It can be worn with the waist tie tied at the side, and can be worn on a daily basis for an outfit full of individuality. *Fabric: Medium weight. Fabric with mirror work and embroidery, stains *holes *damaged. *Specifications Waist string attached (drawstring available). *Ahir Tribe Kagala (Ahir) This is a rolled skirt called [Ghagra] of the Ahir tribe, an agro-pastoralist tribe in the Kutch region of Gujarat, western India. It is decorated with a lot of mirror work and embroidery, and is both decorative and amuletic. The mirror work is circular in shape only, and geometric or floral motifs are chain-stitched on it, which is characteristic of the Ahir people. The ethnic costumes completed with advanced techniques and rich expressive power are very beautiful and impressive. |

インド西部グジャラート州・カッチ地方の農耕牧畜民アヒール族の「カガラ(Ghagra)」と呼ばれる巻きスカートです。
沢山のミラーワークと刺繍によって彩られており、装飾と魔除けを兼ね備えた衣装です。
ミラーワークは丸型のみで、幾何学か花のモチーフを鎖縫いで施しているのがアヒール族の特徴です。
高度な技術と豊かな表現力で完成させた民族衣装はとても美しく感動的です。
