The moso bamboo used for agney* tableware grows to a large size in a very short life cycle of 3 to 5 years. Bamboo is a natural eco-resource that can be used repeatedly and efficiently with a minimum amount of land. Since its establishment in 1988, agney* has purchased an 18-km bamboo grove in Jiangxi Province, China. The company grows and manages approximately 1.5 million bamboo trees on its own. We have applied a proprietary 6-layer coating that penetrates to the inside of the bamboo so that the tableware can be used in the same way as ceramic and glass tableware.
