Kilimanjaro, which is near the equator at 5895m and covered with ice and snow throughout the year, bananas are grown as shade trees (trees to prevent leaf burn), mixed with other crops. The difference in temperature and volcanic ash nurtures a gorgeous aroma, fruity and gentle acidity, and a rich, mellow flavor. It has a light taste and is recommended to drink straight. Serve with Japanese sweets or fruit sweets. 5895mの山頂には、赤道近くながら年間を通して氷雪を頂くキリマンジャロ山麓で、バナナをシェードツリー(葉焼けを防ぐための木)として、ほかの作物との混植で育てました。
