Description
[Kabuki Neko Zukushi] series/Kanjincho supervised by Shochiku Co. This is a cat version of Kabuki, a traditional Japanese performing art, performed by cats. New works are drawn every month to coincide with performances at the Kabuki-za Theater. We exhibited this work in order to spread the fun of Kabuki even further. The impression that Kabuki looks a little difficult is made humorous when performed by a cat. A picture book (Kodansha) has also been published. Jigsaw puzzles (Epoch) are also popular. Postcards are also produced from hand-drawn originals. |
