| On her usual way home alone, a girl finds a mysterious object. It seems that only she can see it. One day, when I asked her, she said, "What's that? The black one? ひとりで帰るいつもの道で、女の子が不思議ないきものをみつけます。どうやら、自分にしか見えていないみたいです。ある日、思いきって声をかけると、その？くろいの？は、台の上からおりてきて、とことこ歩きだしました。ついていくと、へいの穴からもぐりこんだのは、ほどよく古びた日本家屋。そこは、くろいのの家でした。
おしゃべりはしないまま、居心地のいい居間でお茶を飲んだあと、くろいのは女の子を、押し入れの中から屋根裏につれていってくれました。そこに広がっていたのは、暗闇の中にキノコやコケが光る幻想的な世界。ブランコやすべり台で思いきり遊んだあと、ふたりは大きな生きものの柔らかな毛なみにつつまれてぐっすり眠りました。お母さんの夢を見た女の子は、また、くろいのとともに居間にもどってきます。
わかれぎわ、くろいのは一輪の花をくれました。帰り道のとちゅうで、お父さんとばったり会った女の子は、ふたりでなかよく家にむかいます。
