Description
The parakeets in a row. The cockatiels, budgies, and kozakura parakeets are all looking on. The tenugui is made of high-quality Tokuoka fabric, which is also used for yukata (summer kimonos). The pattern was carved by a craftsman, and the cloth was produced using the traditional honzome (pour-dyeing) technique. Because it is hand-dyed, the dyeing process is soft and warm. The pattern and color may differ slightly from piece to piece. This price is for a special okada, dyed by hand. This is a recommended item that we hope many people will enjoy. [Fabric] 100% cotton Tokuoka [Size] 36 x 90 cm [What is "Honzome (dyed in dye) Tenugui"?] This is a dyeing method that has been popular in Japan since ancient times. KOTORITACHI's tenugui are dyed by craftsmen in Osaka, the birthplace of tenugui. Unlike prints, the dyes are dyed by permeating the fabric, so they can be enjoyed from both the front and the back. Also, you can enjoy the soft and gentle texture and comfortable feel that only genuine dyeing can provide. Since all the fabrics are made from the mold by craftsmen and dyed by hand, you can enjoy the high quality color change of each and every piece. * The edges of the tenugui are left uncut. This is to prevent bacteria from getting into the cloth, to dry easily, and to keep the cloth clean. The edges may come loose, but please cut them off with scissors or the like. |
