| Honduras is located in the central part of Central America and is home to the ancient Mayan metropolis of Copan and profoundly mysterious nature. About 60% of the country is rugged mountainous terrain, and coffee cultivation is flourishing in the midwestern area. Major coffee production areas include Santa Barbara, Comayagua, and Marcarra, where small-scale farmers carefully cultivate and harvest their coffee. The IHCAFE (Honduran Coffee Association), which is run by the Honduran government, rates Honduran coffee, and the remarkable improvement in quality in recent years has attracted attention. It is a wonderful, well-balanced coffee with a graceful aroma, fruity sweet flavor, smooth richness, and moderate acidity.
