Description
| Backpack made of Florence Ikat, a precious old cloth from Indonesia. Production is done in a quality Thai factory. *About Ikat Ikat is an Indonesian word meaning "to bind" or "to bind" and is generally called "kasuri" (ikasuri). Ikat is a woven cloth made by binding some of the warp and weft yarns with string to prevent dye from entering the warp and weft yarns, then dipping them in dye and coloring the cloth. Ikat refers to the kasuri weave, in which the fabric is dyed by tying and binding the threads before being woven. The hand-dyed and hand-woven fabrics take a lot of time and effort, so used, old, and antique fabrics in particular are very rare and very valuable. #Ethical (eco-friendly material) |
