| [About Ise cotton] Ise cotton, which has been produced since the Edo period, uses the most basic type of yarn called single thread. Single thread is very difficult to weave because it breaks easily, and it can only be woven with single thread made of good yarn. Fabrics carefully woven with monofilament yarn are supple, soft to the touch, and wrinkle-resistant, and the more they are used, the more they develop their own unique flavor. It is a precious traditional craft that is now woven by only one weaver. 江戸時代から続く伊勢木綿は、単糸という一番ベーシックな糸を使用しています。
単糸は切れやすくて織るのが非常に難しく、良い糸を使った単糸でないと織る事が出来ません。単糸で丁寧に織られた生地はしなやかで肌触りが良くシワになりにくく、使い込めば使い込むほど味わいが出てきます。
今では織れるところが僅か一軒となってしまった貴重な伝統工芸品です。

ぽってりとしたフォルムのがま口は、小銭や小物・アクセサリー入れなど様々な用途でお使い頂けるサイズ感となっております。また、口が大きく開く使いやすい仕様になっているのが特徴です。
表側の生地は伝統織物の伊勢木綿を使用しております。内側の生地は先染めのダンガリーを使い、伊勢木綿の柔らかな印象に合わせております。
